After smashing a historic 141 off 55 balls in IPL 2025, SRH opener Abhishek Sharma revealed a hidden message for fans. Travis Head now shares the hilarious backstory behind the note that had been in his pocket all season.
April 13, 2025: In one of the most electrifying nights of IPL 2025, Abhishek Sharma lit up Hyderabad with a whirlwind 141 off 55 balls, leading Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) to the second-highest run chase in IPL history — 246 against Punjab Kings.

But it wasn’t just the runs that grabbed attention.
As Abhishek reached his maiden IPL century, he pulled out a crumpled note from his pocket. On it, written in bold, were the words:
“This one is for the Orange Army.”
The gesture went viral — and now his opening partner Travis Head has spilled the beans on its unexpected origin.
“The note has been in Abhishek’s pocket for 6 games! Glad it finally came out tonight,” Head said with a laugh during the post-match interaction.

Abhishek, who had been out of form and even battling fever for four days, credited Yuvraj Singh and Mumbai Indians vice-captain Suryakumar Yadav for motivating him.
“Even when I started doubting myself, Yuvi paji and Surya never did. That belief from people like them — it changes everything,” he said.
Before this knock, Abhishek had managed just 51 runs in five innings. But in front of his parents, who were in the stands, he finally found magic.
“My whole team was waiting for my parents to be here — they’ve been lucky for SRH,” he said with a smile.
