IDF Eliminates Senior Hamas Operative in Tulkarm Airstrike
Tel Aviv [Israel], January 28: In a targeted airstrike, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Shin Bet successfully eliminated Abu Atiwi, the leader of Hamas’ terrorist operations in Tulkarm. The action is part of an extensive counter-terrorism operation in the Judea and Samaria Division, aimed at dismantling terrorist networks.
The IDF confirmed that Abu Atiwi was responsible for orchestrating numerous shooting attacks, including the July 16, 2024 attack at the Ramin intersection in Samaria, which left three Israeli civilians injured.
The operation in Tulkarm involved significant coordination between the IDF, Shin Bet (Israel’s General Security Service), and the Border Police. Forces have been deployed in the area as part of an intensified effort to counter terrorist activities in the region.
This strike highlights Israel’s continued resolve to neutralize threats and ensure the safety of its citizens. Further updates on the operation are expected as security forces continue their actions in Tulkarm.
