Ind Vs Bang : Rohit Sharma Backs KL Rahul Ahead Of Test Series

Ahead of the two-match Test series against Bangladesh, India’s Test captain Rohit Sharma has expressed full support for KL Rahul, backing the talented right-hander to succeed in the longest format of the game despite his recent challenges with form and injury.

Sharma emphasized that the team’s responsibility is to help Rahul reach his full potential, acknowledging that every cricketer experiences ups and downs in their career.

In a pre-match press conference, Rohit highlighted the importance of communication, stating that the team management has been clear with Rahul about their expectations. He praised Rahul’s performances, including his century against South Africa and his 80 against England in Hyderabad before his injury. Rohit believes that Rahul has the skillset to excel against both spin and seam bowling and hopes that Rahul can build on his previous performances.

Rahul has played 50 Tests so far, scoring 2863 runs at an average of 34.08, with eight centuries and 14 fifties. His ability to handle both pace and spin makes him a crucial part of India’s batting lineup, and the team is eager to see him return to his best form.
