The much-anticipated second ODI between India and England will take place on Sunday, February 9, at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack. England’s openers Phil Salt (43 off 26) and Ben Duckett (32 off 29) provided a fiery start, but the team faltered mid-innings, slipping to 111/4. Captain Jos Buttler (52 off 67) and Jacob Bethell (51 off 64) stabilized the innings, supported by Jofra Archer’s late cameo (21* off 18). However, the team was bowled out for 248 in 47.4 overs.

India’s bowling attack shone, with Ravindra Jadeja (3/26) and debutant Harshit Rana (3/53) leading the charge. Axar Patel, Mohammed Shami, and Kuldeep Yadav contributed with one wicket each.

In response, India rode on Shubman Gill’s elegant 87 off 96 balls and Shreyas Iyer’s blistering 59 off 36 balls. Axar Patel’s composed 52* off 47 balls guided the team to victory with four wickets in hand. England’s bowlers Saqib Mahmood and Adil Rashid claimed two wickets each but couldn’t prevent India’s triumph.
