London, July 10, 2025:
India and England are set for a blockbuster third Test in the ongoing Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025, as the series shifts to the historic Lord’s Cricket Ground from July 10 to 14. With the series level at 1-1, both sides are expected to go full throttle to gain the upper hand in this high-profile five-match contest.

India come in with serious momentum after their record-breaking 336-run win at Edgbaston, led by captain Shubman Gill, who made history with a 269 and 161 in the same match. Gill’s twin centuries powered India to a 608-run target, and the bowlers, led by Akash Deep, dismantled England for 271.

India will welcome Jasprit Bumrah back into the XI after he skipped the 2nd Test for workload management. The young Akash Deep, who impressed in his absence, is expected to retain his place.
England, reeling from their Edgbaston loss, are likely to bring in Jofra Archer, who returns to red-ball cricket after four years. Chris Woakes and Jamie Smith retain their spots, while Brydon Carse and Josh Tongue could be rested.
The Lord’s pitch is green and seamer-friendly, with the iconic 8-foot slope favoring bowlers who can move the ball both ways. Unlike Edgbaston or Headingley, expect early movement, variable bounce, and difficult conditions for batters, especially on Day 1 and 2.
