Leeds, June 23, 2025 – India’s tour of England took a decisive turn at Headingley as the visitors tightened their grip on the fourth day of the Test match. Spearheaded by twin centuries from Rishabh Pant and a gritty hundred from KL Rahul, India surged ahead to a commanding lead of 304 runs at tea.
Pant, who came in under pressure at 92/3, played a fearless innings, reaching his second century of the match and becoming the first Indian batter to score centuries in both innings of a Test in England. His dismissal, attempting another aggressive shot against Bashir, was met with a standing ovation as he walked off after propelling India into a position of control.
