IAF targets Pakistan’s airbases and radar sites in precision strikes following cross-border drone and missile assaults; India refutes false claims by Islamabad.
New Delhi, May 10, 2025 — In a significant escalation of military hostilities, the Indian Air Force (IAF) launched precision airstrikes on several Pakistani military installations early Saturday, responding to a series of drone and missile attacks launched by Pakistan in recent days.

Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, addressing a joint briefing alongside Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri and Colonel Sofiya Qureshi, confirmed that Indian fighter jets carried out targeted strikes on Pakistan Air Force bases in Rafiqui, Murid, Chaklala, and Rahim Yar Khan. Additional military sites at Sukkur, Chunia, a radar station at Pasrur, and the Sialkot aviation base were also hit.

“In a swift and calibrated response, Indian Air Force carried out precision attacks only on identified military targets,” Wing Commander Singh said, emphasizing minimal collateral damage.
According to Singh, these attacks were aimed at technical infrastructure, radar systems, weapon depots, and command centers. The retaliation follows Pakistan’s “cowardly” targeting of civilian areas, including a medical centre and school premises, using UCAVs, loitering munitions, and fighter aircraft.
False Propaganda Countered
The Air Force officer also addressed Pakistan’s misinformation campaign, debunking claims that India’s S-400 system at Adampur, airfields in Suratgarh and Sirsa, and BrahMos base at Nagrota had been destroyed.
“India unequivocally rejects these false narratives being spread by Pakistan,” Singh stated, while presenting time-stamped satellite imagery refuting the claims.
IAF Stations Damaged, But Defenses Hold
India confirmed limited damage at its airbases in Udhampur, Pathankot, Adampur, and Bhuj, caused by Pakistani drone and missile attacks. However, Singh assured that India’s air defense systems neutralized the majority of threats, with continued high alert status across the western sector.
Pakistan Escalating Further
Singh also revealed that Pakistani troops have been repositioned to forward areas, signaling an intent to escalate. Despite this, she reaffirmed India’s stance:
“Indian armed forces remain committed to non-escalation, provided Pakistan reciprocates. We are prepared, alert, and will act decisively if provoked.”
