India Stuns British Vlogger with Food Delivery in the Train, Ultra Modern Metro and More-Watch

George Buckley’s viral Instagram video showcases India’s seamless railway food delivery via Zomato, sparking admiration for IRCTC’s e-catering innovation.

New Delhi, April 11 – British vlogger George Buckley is winning hearts across the internet after sharing his surprise and admiration for India’s railway food delivery system. In a now-viral video posted to Instagram, Buckley captured the moment he received a Zomato food order mid-journey, delivered right to his AC First Class seat aboard a train from Kanpur to Varanasi.

“The UK needs to take notes,” Buckley captioned the post, while enthusiastically narrating his experience to his 45,000+ followers.

Using Zomato, an official IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation) partner for e-catering, Buckley simply entered his 10-digit PNR and selected his meal to be delivered at Kanpur Central station, during a scheduled stop. The order, which cost him just Rs 345, arrived on time and was enjoyed onboard with a co-passenger.

“Mad, isn’t it? I got a Domino’s delivered to my bed on a train there,” commented one user.

“Food delivery isn’t rocket science – but somehow, India just nailed it,” wrote another.

One fan noted, “It’s great to see foreigners not just visiting India, but appreciating how advanced many of our systems really are. Yes, every country has flaws—but this content is pure gold!”

India’s Metro Also Wins Praise

Buckley isn’t alone in his praise for India’s transport systems. Just last month, German YouTuber Alex Welder lauded India’s metro networks, especially in Delhi and Agra, calling them “better than some Western European systems.”

“I had many misconceptions about Indian transport. But Delhi Metro has phone charging points, women-only seats, and even platform screen doors,” Welder noted.

His remarks echoed a growing global sentiment that India’s infrastructure—often underappreciated—has achieved world-class efficiency in key areas like public transport and food delivery.
