India is preparing to bid for the 2030 Commonwealth Games, as per sources, marking another significant step in its global sporting ambitions. After submitting a Letter of Intent to host the 2036 Olympics, the Indian government is now moving forward to secure the centenary edition of the Commonwealth Games (CWG).
The deadline for submitting bids is March 31, 2025, and India’s bid will be finalized before this date. New Delhi and Ahmedabad are being considered as potential host cities, given their infrastructure and historical significance in Indian sports.
