India’s Champions Trophy 2025 Triumph: How Much Prize Money Did Team India Win?
March 10, 2025: Team India continued their dominance in international cricket as they clinched the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 with a thrilling 4-wicket win over New Zealand in the final. Apart from lifting the coveted trophy for a record third time, the Men in Blue also took home a whopping ₹20 crore ($2.24 million) in prize money.

🏆 India (Winners): ₹20 crore ($2.24 million)
🥈 New Zealand (Runners-up): ₹9.72 crore ($1.12 million)
Despite this hefty reward, interestingly, it still remains lesser than Rishabh Pant’s salary in the IPL 2025 auction. The wicketkeeper-batsman, who didn’t play a single match in the tournament, was purchased for ₹27 crore by Lucknow Super Giants!

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) lauded the team’s remarkable achievement, highlighting their unbeaten run in the tournament.

BCCI President Roger Binny also acknowledged the team’s back-to-back ICC title victories, following their T20 World Cup 2024 win.

With back-to-back ICC titles, Team India has firmly established itself as a cricketing powerhouse. The next challenge will be the England tour in June 2025, following the completion of IPL 2025.
