Services to four destinations suspended till February 28 over regional security concerns

February 3, 2026: IndiGo on Tuesday announced schedule changes and cancellations for several international flights due to the evolving security situation around Iran, suspending select services until February 28, 2026. The airline said the decision was taken in the interest of passenger and crew safety as regional uncertainties persist. In a travel advisory shared on X, IndiGo confirmed that flights to and from Tbilisi, Almaty, Baku and Tashkent will remain cancelled during this period.

The airline stated that affected passengers are being offered flexible options, including rescheduling their journeys or claiming a full refund, depending on individual preference. IndiGo added that flight operations are under constant review and any further changes will be communicated through official channels to keep travellers informed and minimise inconvenience.

The move comes amid heightened tensions involving Iran, even as reports point to possible diplomatic engagement between the United States and Iran over the nuclear deal. Other carriers have also taken precautionary steps, with Air India earlier suspending overflights of Iranian airspace and rerouting services. Airlines have reiterated that safety remains the top priority as geopolitical developments continue to unfold.
