After promoting fitness programs, Janelle Rohner apologizes to fans for not disclosing her use of GLP-1 drugs like Ozempic and offers refunds.

Health and wellness influencer Janelle Rohner, known for her 5.2 million TikTok followers, is facing intense backlash after revealing that she has been using GLP-1 medication to aid her weight loss journey.

In a YouTube video posted on April 23, the 37-year-old disclosed that she began taking a GLP-1 drug under medical supervision after other weight loss methods, such as keto diets, macro tracking, and rigorous workouts, did not yield results. GLP-1 drugs, like Ozempic, Wegovy, and Mounjaro, have surged in popularity for weight management.

“GLP-1s are not magic — they are a tool,” Rohner explained. “I still had to work hard: tracking meals, drinking water, exercising — everything I teach. It just helped me regain a sense of control, and I don’t want to be ashamed of that,” she said.

Rohner shared that after a few months, she lost the stubborn 10–15 pounds she had struggled with and later switched to microdosing for maintenance.

However, many fans expressed anger, accusing her of misleading them while selling $200 weight-loss courses without revealing her use of medication. Critics argued that the issue was not the use of GLP-1 itself, but the lack of transparency while profiting from weight loss programs.

“You’re taking people’s money, misleading them, and not being honest with yourself either,” one commenter wrote, summarizing the growing frustration.

In response, Rohner posted a TikTok video on April 24, apologizing for her lack of disclosure.
“I’m not asking for sympathy. I’m just trying to do the right thing,” she said. “I could have kept it a secret, but I chose to be honest.”

Acknowledging the internet’s harsh environment, Rohner emphasized that she still believes in the effectiveness of macro tracking and her fitness classes. She clarified that her decision to use GLP-1 medication was driven by personal health reasons, not a lack of faith in her methods.

“If people felt deceived by that, I truly am sorry,” she added, offering refunds to anyone who had purchased her programs over the past 11 months.
