Gujarat Titans Go Top of the Table as Sai Sudharsan’s 82 and a Clinical Bowling Display Seal a 58-Run Victory in Ahmedabad
Ahmedabad, April 10: Gujarat Titans (GT) skipper Shubman Gill credited his team’s all-round performance after their emphatic 58-run victory over Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in IPL 2025. With this win, GT climbed to the top of the points table with four wins from five matches.
GT posted a formidable 217/6 after an explosive 82 off 53 from Sai Sudharsan, followed by a disciplined bowling display that saw RR bundled out for 159 in 19.2 overs.
Speaking at the post-match presentation, Gill said, “That’s a good total on the board. It wasn’t easy in the first 3 to 4 overs. The way Sai and Buttler batted was amazing. We’ll take 220 any day of the week.”
He further highlighted the team’s depth and collective effort: “If you have difficulty choosing the Player of the Match, it’s a good problem to have. We have a team where everyone contributes. Very pleased. And when you have bowlers like Rashid, it makes the captain’s job easy.”
When asked about his leadership experience among seasoned stars, Gill smiled and said, “Everyone is very nice to me.”
