IPL 2025: Gujarat Titans Win The Toss, Opt To Bowl First Against Delhi Capitals

April 19, 2025: In Match 42 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, Gujarat Titans (GT) captain Shubman Gill won the toss and elected to bowl first against Axar Patel-led Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday.

This decision marks a tactical move from Gill, who is looking to capitalise on the pitch’s tendency to favour bowlers in the first innings under lights. Gujarat Titans, who have had a mixed season so far, are aiming to regain consistency as they take on a resurgent Delhi Capitals side.

Delhi, on the other hand, will be keen to build on their momentum and post a competitive total. Captain Axar Patel has led the side commendably and will be eyeing a strong batting performance from the top order.

As the race to the playoffs intensifies, this clash between GT and DC is expected to be a high-octane contest with plenty of implications for the league table.

Stay tuned for live updates, highlights, and post-match analysis.
