April 27, 2025: Mumbai Indians delivered a dominant performance at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday, hammering Lucknow Super Giants by 54 runs in IPL 2025, riding on Ryan Rickelton’s blazing half-century and Jasprit Bumrah’s sensational four-wicket haul.

Put into bat, Mumbai Indians posted a mammoth 215/7, despite the early loss of Rohit Sharma. Ryan Rickelton set the tone with a powerful 58 off 32 balls, while Suryakumar Yadav dazzled with a 28-ball 54. Late cameos from Nama Dhir (25* off 11) and Corbin Bosch (20 off 10) pushed MI past the 200-run mark.

For LSG, Mayank Yadav and Avesh Khan picked up two wickets apiece, but their efforts fell flat against MI’s aggressive batting.

Chasing 216, Lucknow Super Giants faltered early and never truly recovered. Ayush Badoni (35) and Mitchell Marsh (34) showed some fight, stitching together a quick partnership, but regular strikes kept pegging them back.

Jasprit Bumrah turned back the clock at Wankhede, scalping four wickets, including a dramatic triple-strike in a single over that dismantled LSG’s middle and lower order. Trent Boult chipped in with three crucial wickets, and Will Jacks snared two.

The MI bowling unit bundled out LSG for 161 in 20 overs, sealing a resounding victory — their fifth consecutive win, taking them to 12 points from nine matches and boosting their playoff hopes.
