IPL 2025: Rain Threat Looms Over RCB vs CSK Clash at Chinnaswamy – Latest Weather Report, Pitch Report
May 3, 2025: The high-stakes IPL 2025 clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is set to unfold at Bengaluru’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday, May 3. While RCB are on the verge of sealing a playoff spot, CSK are already out of the race and will look to play party poopers. However, weather conditions could throw a wrench into both teams’ plans.

Rain may have the final say tonight. According to Accuweather, Bengaluru is expected to see thunderstorms in parts during both the afternoon and evening. RCB even had to cancel their nets on Friday due to rain, and CSK’s session was shortened as well. While the temperature is expected to hover around 33°C, rain interruptions could lead to a curtailed match.
Traditionally known as a batting paradise, the Chinnaswamy pitch has thrown a curveball this season. The surface has helped spinners and bowlers during middle overs, contributing to RCB’s home struggles. Captain Rajat Patidar’s side has lost most of their home games this season, and they’ll be hoping for a better show tonight.
