Survanshi smashes second-fastest IPL century as RR chase down 210 with ease; Jaiswal’s composed 70 seals the victory.
Jaipur, April 29:
Vaibhav Survanshi produced one of the most explosive innings in IPL history, lighting up the Sawai Mansingh Stadium with a blistering century off just 35 balls — the second-fastest century ever in the tournament’s history. Supported by a fluent 70 off 40 balls from Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rajasthan Royals (RR) cruised to a stunning eight-wicket victory over Gujarat Titans (GT) with four overs to spare, chasing down 210 with remarkable ease.
Survanshi’s carnage included 7 fours and 11 towering sixes before he was dismissed for 101, but by then, the damage was done. His partnership with Jaiswal ensured RR reached 212/2 in just 16 overs, sealing a crucial win as the playoff race tightens.
Earlier in the day, after being put into bat by RR, Gujarat Titans posted a formidable 209/4. Openers Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan provided a solid start with a 93-run stand. GT reached their 50 in just 5.4 overs and ended the powerplay at 53/0.
Gill brought up his fourth fifty of the season in 29 balls and eventually scored a commanding 84 off 50 deliveries, peppered with five fours and four sixes. Sudharsan contributed 39 off 30 balls before falling to a brilliant catch by Riyan Parag off Maheesh Theekshana.
Gill then stitched another crucial 74-run partnership with Jos Buttler. Buttler played a fiery knock, hammering 24 runs off a single Wanindu Hasaranga over, and reached his half-century in just 26 balls. Finishing touches from Washington Sundar (13 off 8) and Rahul Tewatia (9 off 2) helped GT breach the 200-run mark.

Among the bowlers, Theekshana (2/35) was the pick of the lot for RR, with Jofra Archer and Sandeep Sharma also picking up a wicket each.
However, Survanshi’s breathtaking ton overshadowed GT’s earlier heroics, marking a memorable night for Rajasthan Royals as they continue their strong run in IPL 2025.
