IPS officer DC Jain promoted to Special Director in CBI

New Delhi [India]: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet on Wednesday approved the proposal of the Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT) for the appointment of IPS officer DC Jain as Special director in Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

DC Jain, an IPS officer of the 1991 batch from the Rajasthan cadre, will serve as Special Director till the date of his superannuation.

“The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of the Department of Personnel and Training for appointment of DC Jain, IPS (RJ:1991), Additional Director, CBI as Special Director in CBI by temporarily elevating the post of Additional Director as Special Director specific to him from the date of assumption of charge to the post and for the period upto the date of his superannuation i.e. 31.10.2023 or until further orders, whichever is earlier,” an official notification issued by Appointments Committee of the Cabinet read.

Meanwhile, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet on September 28 approved the appointment of Muktesh Kumar Pardeshi who was the Special Secretary (G20 Operations) Secretary (Consular Passport and Visa division and Overseas Indian Affairs) in the Ministry of External Affairs. ACC also approved an extension in the central deputation tenure of NATGRID CEO Piyush Goyal till November 19, 2025.
