A devastating explosion at Iran’s Shahid Rajaee Port in the southern province near Bandar Abbas has killed at least 14 people and injured 750 others, plunging the region into chaos on Saturday.

Thick black smoke enveloped Iran’s largest commercial port and neighboring areas as firefighting helicopters battled blazes fed by strong winds. Schools and offices in Bandar Abbas — located over 20 km away — were shut down as a precaution.
