Irfan Pathan Lauds Shreyas Iyer’s Captaincy After KKR’s Triumph Over SRH

Former India cricketer Irfan Pathan showered praise on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) skipper Shreyas Iyer, acknowledging his exceptional leadership in the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).

The Kolkata-based franchise secured a dominant eight-wicket victory over SRH in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 Qualifier 1 at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Tuesday. Shreyas played a pivotal role with an unbeaten 58-run knock off just 24 balls, boasting a strike rate of 241.67 and smashing 5 fours and 4 sixes.

Irfan took to his official X account to commend the KKR skipper’s remarkable performance throughout the 17th season of the IPL, highlighting his strategic brilliance in the crucial match.

“Shreyas Iyer has been outstanding with his changes throughout the season. But today he took his captaincy to another level,” Irfan wrote on X.
