Israeli Leaders Condemn Hezbollah Attack on Mount Dov, Promise Strong Response
Jerusalem [Israel], December 3: Israeli leaders strongly condemned the Hezbollah missile attack on Mount Dov, labeling it a severe violation of the ceasefire agreement. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed a robust response, underscoring Israel’s commitment to maintaining the ceasefire while countering any provocations.
“Hezbollah’s firing at Mount Dov constitutes a serious violation of the cease-fire, and Israel will respond strongly to this,” Netanyahu stated. “We are determined to continue enforcing the ceasefire and to respond to any violation by Hezbollah—minor or serious.”
Defense Minister Israel Katz echoed the Prime Minister’s stance, warning of a severe response to the aggression. “We promised to act against any violation of the ceasefire by Hezbollah—and that is exactly what we will do. Hezbollah’s firing at the IDF post in Mount Dov will be met with a harsh response. What was will not be.”
The Pentagon also commented on the situation, noting that the ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah remains intact despite such incidents.
Earlier today, Hezbollah fired two missiles at Mount Dov, a contested area along Israel’s northern border. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that the missiles landed in open areas, causing no casualties. This marks the first missile barrage since the ceasefire was implemented, raising tensions in the already volatile region.
The incident underscores the fragile nature of the ceasefire agreement and the potential for renewed hostilities along the Israel-Lebanon border.
