
Khadiyah “KD” Lewis, ‘Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta’ Star and Entrepreneur, Passes Away at 44
ATLANTA, June 6 – Khadiyah “KD” Lewis, widely recognized for her role on Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta and celebrated for her business ventures and entrepreneurial spirit, has passed away at the age of 44.
Her death was confirmed by her brother, Elijah Inegbedion, who shared an emotional tribute on Facebook dated June 2.
“Been at a loss for words for some days now,” Elijah wrote. “To think that I’ll ever have the words to describe the person you’ve been and the legacy that you left behind would be erroneous. Long Live my sister Khadiyah Lewis.”
Elijah praised her love, loyalty, and unwavering support, calling her a “blessing” in his life and expressing eternal gratitude for their sibling bond.
According to her online obituary, Lewis was born on March 31, 1981, and passed away on May 30, 2025.
Lewis made her television debut in Season 3 of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta and became a recurring cast member in Season 4, where her relationship with rapper Yung Joc was a central storyline. Her assertive personality and on-screen presence made her a standout in the show’s ensemble.
Outside of television, Khadiyah Lewis was a multifaceted entrepreneur, describing herself as a speaker, consultant, accountant, and brand ambassador. She ran multiple successful ventures, including a real estate investment firm and a tax consultancy, showcasing her sharp business sense and commitment to financial empowerment.
The news of her passing was first reported by The Shade Room, with Lewis’ brother Jay telling the outlet,
“This has been an extremely emotionally devastating time. All prayers, condolences, and well wishes are sincerely appreciated.”
Lewis leaves behind not only a memorable reality TV legacy but also a lasting impact as a businesswoman and inspiration to many in the Black entrepreneurial community.
Plans for a memorial service have not yet been publicly announced.
