Masaba Gupta and Satyadeep Misra Welcome Baby Girl: A Joyous Arrival on a Special Day

October 12, 2024: Fashion designer Masaba Gupta and her actor-husband Satyadeep Misra have shared the heartwarming news of welcoming their first child, a baby girl. The couple made the announcement with a joint post on Instagram, revealing that their daughter was born on the special day of October 11, 2024. “Our very special little girl arrived on a very special day. 11.10.2024. Masaba & Satyadeep,” they wrote, alongside an adorable picture of their newborn’s tiny feet.

Their announcement post, which resembled a beautiful watercolour painting of a moon and a blooming lotus, quickly garnered attention and love from fans and celebrities alike. Many well-wishers flooded the comments with congratulations. Actress Priyamani wrote, “Congratulations @instasattu,” while Sonam Kapoor expressed her excitement, commenting, “I’m so excited and happy.” Smriti Irani added, “God bless, congratulations!” and Dia Mirza warmly welcomed the new arrival, saying, “Welcome to our world, baby girl.”

Masaba and Satyadeep first announced they were expecting in April with a lighthearted Instagram post that read, “In other news – Two little feet are on their way to us! Please send love, blessings, and banana chips (plain salted ONLY).” Masaba’s mother, veteran actress Neena Gupta, shared her happiness at the time, writing, “Humare bacchon ka baccha aane Wala hai. Isse zyada Khushi ki baat Kya ho sakti hai?” (“My children are about to have a child. What could be happier news?”)

Masaba, daughter of actress Neena Gupta and cricket legend Vivian Richards, has made her mark as a successful fashion designer and has also ventured into acting. She starred in two seasons of the semi-autobiographical Netflix series Masaba Masaba and appeared in Modern Love: Mumbai. Satyadeep Misra, known for his roles in films like Bombay Velvet and Vikram Vedha, has also appeared in the popular series Tanaav.
