McGrath Lauds Bumrah’s Solo Efforts And Feels Without Him This BGT “Might Have Been More One-Sided”

January 1, 2025: Former Australia cricketer Glenn McGrath has lauded Jasprit Bumrah for his remarkable performance during the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy, highlighting that his presence has been pivotal for India, especially in the recent Melbourne Test where Australia secured an 184-run victory to take a 2-1 series lead. McGrath emphasized that without Bumrah, the series could have been “more one-sided” in Australia’s favour, underscoring the pacer’s immense value to the Indian team.

I met him when he was younger, and what he’s grown into is unbelievable.” McGrath acknowledged that Bumrah has become an essential part of the Indian team, and his contributions are a key reason why the series has remained competitive. He remarked, “Without him, this series might be a little bit more one-sided.”
