The Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared rare glimpses of their joyful family outing at Disneyland, marking Princess Lilibet’s birthday with Disney rides, cake, and cherished moments.
Los Angeles, June 6 – Meghan Markle and Prince Harry marked a major family milestone with a magical celebration fit for royalty. Their daughter, Princess Lilibet Diana, turned four on June 4, and to commemorate the occasion, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex took their children on a joyful two-day trip to Disneyland.
Meghan, 43, posted an endearing highlight reel of their family adventure on Instagram Friday, set to Peggy Lee’s upbeat tune “It’s a Good Day.” The clip showed rare moments of their private family life, featuring little Lilibet in a glittery blue cap and a colorful summer dress as she led her mom through the iconic California park.
“Thank you @disneyland for giving our family two days of pure joy!,” Meghan captioned the post, offering a rare window into their closely guarded personal life.
Prince Harry, 40, was seen trailing behind as Lilibet met a Disney Princess, before the family boarded the new log flume ride Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Meghan beamed with delight in her Minnie Mouse ears before the thrilling drop, while other moments captured rides on Dumbo the Flying Elephant, an encounter with Star Wars troopers, and whimsical scenes from around the park.
Food stops included classic theme park favorites like corn dogs and pickles, topped off with a Little Mermaid–themed birthday cake featuring Ariel and Sebastian — a sweet nod to Lilibet’s famously red hair.
The video also showed Archie and Lilibet enjoying carousel rides and roller coasters together, with their faces tastefully obscured with hearts — a reminder of Meghan’s firm commitment to protecting her children’s privacy.
“Our kids are young,” Meghan told CBS News Sunday Morning in August 2024. “They’re 3 and 5. They’re amazing. But all you want to do as parents is protect them… we’re just happy to be a part of change for good.”
Earlier this year, Meghan spoke to PEOPLE about the powerful bond she shares with her daughter and her decision to feature Lilibet on the launch page of her brand, Asever.com. The website’s homepage shows Meghan and Lilibet holding hands in a serene backyard scene — a tribute to generational legacy and working motherhood.
“Being able to have my own little girl, as I’ve spent so much of my life championing the rights of girls and women… I love the heritage feeling of it,” Meghan said. “This is something I can create in front of my daughter and teach her what it’s like to be a working mom.”
From princess-themed cakes to magical rides, the trip to Disneyland wasn’t just a birthday party — it was a celebration of family, joy, and the values the Sussexes continue to share with the world.
