
Multiple Injuries reported in Columbus and Louisville Shootings
Ten people were injured in a shooting incident in Columbus, Ohio, on Sunday morning, according to USA Today.
Police responded to the shooting in the Short North area of the city at 2:28 am and discovered six victims at the scene. Later, they learned that four additional victims had been transported to hospitals.
The injured are receiving treatment at three different hospitals, with one male victim in critical condition, as reported by NBC4. Despite the severity of the injuries, all the victims, including two juveniles, are expected to survive, according to the Columbus Dispatch.
Authorities are searching for a vehicle believed to be involved in the shooting. The Columbus Division of Police described the vehicle as a white, four-door Honda Civic with tinted windows. They have urged anyone with information to contact the police.
In a separate incident, one person was killed and seven others injured in a shooting outside a nightclub in Louisville, Kentucky, on Saturday. According to CNN, police found two people with gunshot wounds outside H20 Lounge at 12:47 am. One of the victims, a man, was pronounced dead, while the second was taken to the hospital with critical, life-threatening injuries. Six more victims, all adults, later sought treatment at local hospitals for gunshot injuries, which are believed to be non-life-threatening.
The Louisville Police Metro Department has not released any information about the suspect(s) or the motive behind the shooting. The relationship between the victims, if any, remains unknown, and the incident is under investigation.
