Mumbai Indians Crush Rajasthan Royals by 100 Runs, Extend Dominant IPL 2025 Streak

Jofra Archer top-scored with 30, but Rajasthan Royals collapsed for 117 in response to Mumbai’s 217/2, as Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav delivered a death-over masterclass.

Mumbai Indians (MI) put on a clinical all-round performance to decimate Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 100 runs at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur on Thursday, marking their sixth consecutive victory and reinforcing their playoff credentials in IPL 2025.

Put into bat first by RR skipper Riyan Parag, MI made full use of batting-friendly conditions to post a massive 217/2 in 20 overs. Openers Ryan Rickelton (61 off 38) and Rohit Sharma (53 off 34) laid the foundation with a commanding partnership. Rickelton’s knock included 7 boundaries and 3 sixes, while Rohit laced 9 boundaries before Parag dismissed him.

After the solid start, it was Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya who unleashed a late-innings onslaught. Both remained unbeaten on 48 off 23 balls, blasting boundaries and sixes in the death overs and propelling MI well past the 200-run mark. The final five overs yielded over 70 runs, shifting all momentum in MI’s favour.

In reply, Rajasthan Royals crumbled under scoreboard pressure and were bundled out for just 117 runs, falling short by a massive 100-run margin. Jofra Archer, batting lower down the order, top-scored with 30 runs, while the rest of the batting unit failed to withstand MI’s lethal bowling attack.

MI bowlers, led by Jasprit Bumrah, Trent Boult, and Deepak Chahar, struck early and often. The Royals never looked settled, with regular wickets derailing any hopes of a competitive chase.

This result lifts Mumbai Indians firmly into the top three on the points table with seven wins from eleven matches, while Rajasthan Royals, now with seven losses, are staring at elimination unless they can stage a miraculous turnaround.

With strong momentum and balanced performances across departments, MI’s march toward the playoffs looks inevitable — and menacing for any side standing in their path.
