May 23, 2025 | Indian javelin ace Neeraj Chopra delivered a thrilling performance at the Janusz Kusocinski Memorial 2025 in Chorzow, Poland, clinching second place with a best throw of 84.14m in his final attempt.
Germany’s Julian Weber claimed the top spot with a stunning 86.12m throw in his first attempt, while Anderson Peters of Grenada secured bronze with an 83.24m throw.

The night began with a foul throw by Neeraj, but he bounced back, recording 81.28m in his first legal throw. The competition saw several shifts in the leaderboard, with Peters and Weber trading strong throws early on.

Neeraj struggled initially, fouling on his third attempt and managing only 81.16m in another. It wasn’t until his final attempt that the Olympic champion pulled off a significant improvement, registering 84.14m to leapfrog Peters and clinch second place.
