Netflix is stepping into the squared circle like never before with its upcoming docuseries “WWE: Unreal,” a 10-episode deep dive into the behind-the-scenes world of World Wrestling Entertainment. The series, slated for a summer 2025 release, offers fans rare access to WWE’s inner workings, including the writer’s room and off-camera stories of some of the most iconic WWE Superstars.

Each episode of the docuseries will run 50 minutes, pulling back the curtain on the drama, politics, and storytelling that drive the globally beloved wrestling phenomenon.

“This is a calculated, coordinated production,” says WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque in the first teaser. “It’s time. We’re gonna lift the curtain.”

🎬 Powerhouse Production Team

“WWE: Unreal” is produced by an all-star team, including:

  • Omaha Productions (led by Peyton Manning)
  • NFL Films
  • Skydance Sports
  • WWE Studios

Chris Weaver directs the series, with Erik Powers serving as showrunner. Executive producers include:

  • Peyton Manning
  • Jamie Horowitz
  • Ross Ketover
  • Keith Cossrow
  • Ken Rodgers
  • Jessica Boddy
  • Lee Fitting
  • Ben Houser
  • Marc Pomarico

📺 First Teased at WrestleMania

The first teaser was dropped by commentator Michael Cole during Night 2 of WrestleMania, sending fans into a frenzy. While an exact premiere date is yet to be announced, buzz for the docuseries is already building across WWE and Netflix communities.

Netflix described the show as:

“For the first time ever, step into the WWE writer’s room and outside the ring with your favorite WWE Superstars, where the drama is just as intense offstage as it is under the spotlight.”

💰 Netflix’s Billion-Dollar WWE Deal

The docuseries is part of Netflix’s massive $5 billion deal to become the exclusive streaming home of WWE’s “Raw” in multiple territories — including the U.S., Canada, U.K., and Latin America — beginning January 2025. The first episode of Raw on Netflix garnered a global viewership of 4.9 million, signaling a strong start to the partnership.

In addition to Raw, Netflix will also stream WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, SummerSlam, and other WWE flagship events internationally.
