
'No Incident Of Assault', Says Kanpur Police On Reports Of assault on Bangladesh Cricket Fan
The Kanpur Police have clarified that the incident involving Bangladesh cricket fan Tiger Robby during the India-Bangladesh Test match was not an assault, as initially reported. Instead, they confirmed that Robby collapsed due to illness while watching the match at Green Park Stadium.
According to the Police Commissionerate of Kanpur Nagar, Robby fell ill in front of the media gallery, prompting nearby police and medical personnel to assist him and take him to the stadium’s medical camp for treatment. He has since recovered and is in good health. A liaison officer has been assigned to ensure that he receives any necessary assistance during his stay in India.
In a video statement from the hospital, Robby himself confirmed that he had felt unwell during the match but is now feeling better after receiving medical care.
