No Victory Parade for India’s Champions Trophy Winners – Here’s Why

With the IPL 2025 just around the corner, Team India’s Champions Trophy triumph will not be followed by a grand homecoming celebration like last year’s T20 World Cup victory parade.

March 11, 2025: Team India returned home after clinching the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Dubai, but unlike their T20 World Cup 2024 victory celebrations, there will be no open bus parade or felicitation ceremony this time.

🛬 Players Arriving Separately

Unlike last year, when the entire squad flew back to India together on a charter flight, players and support staff members are arriving individually in different cities. Head coach Gautam Gambhir landed in Delhi on Tuesday, while captain Rohit Sharma returned to Mumbai. Other players have also started arriving or have taken short vacations before joining their respective Indian Premier League (IPL) teams.
