Operation Sindoor Launched: India Sends All-Party Delegations Worldwide to Expose Pakistan’s Terror Links

May 21, 2025: In a major diplomatic offensive, India has launched Operation Sindoor, dispatching seven All-Party Parliamentary Delegations to more than 30 countries to present a united national front against terrorism and expose Pakistan’s alleged role in promoting cross-border terrorism.

The first delegation, led by JD(U) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha, departed from New Delhi on Wednesday for a five-nation tour to Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore. This delegation comprises representatives from key political parties, including the BJP, Congress, TMC, and CPI(M).

Another delegation led by Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde is also preparing to depart. This group will visit the UAE, Liberia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Sierra Leone. Members of this 8-member team include BJP MPs Bansuri Swaraj and Atul Garg, BJD MP Sasmit Patra, Rajya Sabha MP and senior advocate Manan Kumar Mishra, BJP leader SS Ahluwalia, IUML MP ET Mohammed Basheer, and Ambassador Sujan Chinoy.

Highlighting the importance of this unprecedented diplomatic effort, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal reiterated India’s unwavering stance of “zero tolerance against terrorism.” In a post on social media, he announced the departure of the first delegation and emphasized that the initiative is part of India’s broader outreach to reaffirm its global commitment to counter-terrorism.

MP Sanjay Kumar Jha stated that the primary goal of these visits is to unmask Pakistan’s policy of supporting terrorism. He said, “Pakistan’s state policy openly supports terrorism. Our mission is to expose this before the world and reveal the truth behind the state-sponsored violence it perpetuates.”

Joining the East and Southeast Asia mission are several prominent parliamentarians, including BJP MPs Aparajita Sarangi, Brij Lal, Pradhan Barua, and Hemang Joshi, Congress leader and former External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid, TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee, CPI(M) MP John Brittas, and former Ambassador Mohan Kumar.

Jha also emphasized the need to address Pakistan’s “nuclear bluff” and send a strong message that India will no longer tolerate acts of terror supported by its neighbor. “We want the world to know: enough is enough,” he asserted.

Aparajita Sarangi noted that this outreach is a strategic and unified move by the Indian government. “Sending seven delegations to more than 30 countries reflects India’s united stance. Regardless of political affiliation, we are one in our resolve to fight terrorism.”

John Brittas stressed the historic significance of this effort, pointing out that never before has India conducted such a wide-reaching diplomatic campaign with an all-party representation. “This initiative represents the collective voice of the nation against terrorism on a global stage,” he said.

Additional delegations will also visit Qatar, Egypt, Ethiopia, and South Africa, including key political leaders such as Supriya Sule and Anurag Thakur. The aim is to engage with influential global partners and members of the UN Security Council.

Hemang Joshi expressed optimism, stating that the global response to Operation Sindoor has been supportive. “The world has seen India’s response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack and has stood with us in our fight against terrorism. This mission will further solidify that global unity.”

Operation Sindoor is being seen as a strategic move to expand India’s diplomatic footprint and to deliver a resolute message: the nation stands united in its battle against terrorism and will make its case heard loud and clear across the world.
