Operation Sindoor: PM Modi to Address Nation at 8 PM Today
New Delhi, May 12:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to address the nation at 8 PM tonight, marking his first official statement since the Indian armed forces launched Operation Sindoor—a high-precision military response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 26 civilian lives.
Although the content of the address has not been officially disclosed, sources suggest the Prime Minister will focus on the objectives and achievements of Operation Sindoor, the current ceasefire with Pakistan, and India’s long-standing policy against cross-border terrorism.
The address comes amid a series of high-level reviews chaired by the Prime Minister and ongoing dialogue between the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of both nations, aimed at sustaining the recently declared ceasefire after four days of intense military exchanges.
Operation Sindoor, executed in the early hours of May 7, involved coordinated strikes by the Army, Navy, and Air Force on terror camps across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, resulting in the elimination of over 100 militants linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed, and other terror outfits.
Citizens can watch the address live on all national news channels and the government’s official digital platforms.
