
Pakistan Train Hijack: Militants with Bomb Vests Sitting Next to Hostages; Empty Coffins Transported
March 12, 2025: Pakistan’s security forces continue their efforts to rescue hostages from a Baloch Liberation Army (BLA)-hijacked train, but the operation remains delicate due to militants wearing explosive vests and sitting next to passengers. Despite the killing of 30 militants and the rescue of 190 passengers, 250 hostages remain in captivity, with the situation growing increasingly tense.

📍 The hijacking took place on Tuesday when BLA militants blew up the tracks in Bolan, Balochistan, stopping the train inside a tunnel and taking passengers hostage.
💣 Militants have warned they will execute hostages unless Pakistan releases imprisoned Baloch rebels.
📢 A BLA spokesperson, Jeeyand Baloch, issued a statement demanding an exchange of hostages for jailed fighters.
🔴 Passengers rescued from the train report that the militants executed security personnel after checking their IDs.

🚁 Pakistani forces, backed by helicopters, are attempting to free the remaining hostages but have refrained from launching a full-scale assault due to the presence of suicide bombers among the passengers.
⚠️ Eyewitness accounts confirm that the hijackers are heavily armed and remain deeply entrenched inside the train.
⚰️ Meanwhile, nearly 100 empty coffins were spotted at Quetta railway station, raising fears that more casualties could emerge from the ongoing standoff.

🗣️ Muhammad Ashraf, a survivor, described the horror aboard the train:
“Some of the passengers died in the attack, including the train driver. The militants made suicide bombers sit right next to us. It was terrifying.”
📌 Pakistani authorities have vowed to handle the situation with extreme caution to prevent unnecessary casualties, especially among women and children.
