“Pakistan’s Victim Card Exposed”: JD(U) MP Sanjay Jha Gains Japanese Support in Anti-Terror Push
May 23, 2025: JD(U) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha, leading a multi-party delegation to Japan and other East Asian countries as part of India’s global outreach against terrorism, said Friday that the group received strong support from Japanese lawmakers in confronting terrorism.
During meetings with members of Japan’s National Diet, the Indian delegation shared compelling evidence, including photos of Pakistani generals attending funerals of known terrorists, to expose Pakistan’s alleged state-sponsored terrorism.
“We met many Japanese parliamentarians today, and all extended their support in our fight against terrorism. We presented visual proof showing the involvement of top Pakistani military officials with terrorists,” Jha said.
He emphasized that Pakistan’s narrative as a victim of terrorism is no longer credible. “The world is beginning to understand Pakistan’s true role. We also informed them about the Pakistani Army chief’s recent controversial remarks endorsing the two-nation theory — many here were unaware of that.”
In a post on X, the Indian Embassy in Japan noted, “All-Party Delegation from India interacted with the Japan-India Parliamentary Friendship League led by Chairman H.E. Mr. Yasutoshi Nishimura. India’s zero-tolerance stance on terrorism was affirmed. The league expressed strong support for India’s position against cross-border terrorism.”
Earlier in Tokyo, speaking at an outreach event, Jha reiterated India’s zero-tolerance approach and stated that no distinction will be made between terrorists and nations that harbor them.
“India, along with Japan, stands firm against terrorism. We will not entertain nuclear blackmail, and any further terrorist act will be met with decisive military action,” Jha declared. He emphasized that the fight against terrorism is a global responsibility, not just India’s alone.
He also highlighted Japan’s role as a strategic and democratic partner of India, bound by shared values such as democracy and press freedom. Jha praised the support shown by Japanese leaders, including the Foreign Minister, former Prime Minister, and the Speaker of the Japanese Parliament, all of whom strongly condemned the recent April terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir.
The delegation also met with Japan’s Former Defence Minister Minoru Kihara and Shinako Tsuchiya, Director General of the International Bureau, Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), where Indian MPs reaffirmed their unwavering resolve to combat terrorism in all forms.
