With the highly anticipated India vs Pakistan clash in the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy just days away, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Mohsin Naqvi has made a notable decision—giving up his VIP Hospitality Box at Dubai International Stadium and selling premium tickets worth INR 94 lakh (400,000 dirhams). Instead of watching the game from a luxury suite, Naqvi will sit among fans to experience the match atmosphere firsthand.

According to Pakistani media reports, Naqvi was offered the exclusive 30-seat VIP box for himself, his family, and guests. However, he declined the offer and instead chose to allocate the revenue generated from ticket sales toward PCB’s development funds.

Naqvi has reportedly informed the ICC and the Emirates Cricket Board about his decision, demonstrating his commitment to prioritizing cricket infrastructure over personal luxury.

Funds to be Used for Stadium Upgrades

The ticket revenue, along with ICC seating receipts, will be utilized to upgrade cricket stadiums in Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi. Pakistan has been working to modernize its cricket facilities ahead of upcoming international fixtures and domestic leagues.


India vs Pakistan – The Most Awaited Clash of the Tournament

The blockbuster showdown between India and Pakistan is set to take place on February 23 in Dubai. Before that, defending champions Pakistan will open the tournament against New Zealand in Karachi on February 19, while India will play Bangladesh on February 20.

Historically, Pakistan holds an edge over India in the Champions Trophy, winning three out of five encounters, including the 2017 final, where they handed India a 180-run defeat at The Oval. However, since then, India has dominated Pakistan in ODIs, winning five consecutive matches, including a 117-run victory in the 2023 World Cup.
