The announcement underscores the strong rapport between the two leaders, who have frequently highlighted their mutual respect and collaborative partnership. President Trump’s last foreign visit during his first term was to India, where he addressed a massive rally alongside PM Modi in Ahmedabad in February 2020.
The two leaders have previously shared the stage at high-profile events, including the “Howdy Modi” rally in Houston in September 2019 and “Namaste Trump” in Ahmedabad the following year.
PM Modi was also one of the first world leaders to congratulate Trump after his electoral victory in November 2024, further emphasizing the close ties between the two nations.
The anticipated visit is expected to focus on bolstering bilateral relations, discussing trade agreements, and exploring new avenues for cooperation on global issues.
