Sunrisers Hyderabad produced a commanding all-round performance to defeat Rajasthan Royals by 57 runs, thanks largely to a sensational debut spell from youngster Praful Hinge.

Chasing a stiff target of 217, Rajasthan Royals were left stunned early as Hinge delivered a dream start with the ball. The pacer picked up three wickets in his very first over, putting the Royals under immense pressure and reducing them to just nine runs with half the side back in the pavilion.

From that disastrous start, Donovan Ferreira and Ravindra Jadeja tried to rebuild the innings. The duo stitched together a valuable 118-run partnership that briefly revived Rajasthan’s hopes.

However, the resistance was broken when Sakib Hussain dismissed Ferreira. Jadeja followed soon after, effectively ending the contest. Rajasthan Royals were eventually bowled out for 159, handing Sunrisers Hyderabad a convincing victory.

SRH Post 216/6 After Early Setback

Earlier in the match, Rajasthan Royals captain Riyan Parag won the toss and opted to bowl first.

The decision paid immediate dividends when Jofra Archer struck on the very first delivery of the innings, providing Rajasthan with a dream start.

After the early blow, Ishan Kishan and Travis Head steadied the innings and began rebuilding Sunrisers Hyderabad’s momentum.

Following Kishan’s dismissal, the lower middle order stepped up with useful contributions, ensuring that SRH maintained a healthy scoring rate. Their collective effort helped Sunrisers post a competitive total of 216/6 at the end of 20 overs.

Royals’ Strong Season Form Meets SRH’s Explosive Attack

Heading into the clash, Rajasthan Royals had been the most dominant side of the season, sitting at the top of the table with four wins from four matches.

Sunrisers Hyderabad, meanwhile, entered the contest with just one victory from four games and were looking to halt Rajasthan’s early-season momentum.

Despite Rajasthan’s impressive form, historical statistics slightly favoured Sunrisers Hyderabad. SRH held a 12–9 lead in head-to-head encounters and had won four consecutive matches against Rajasthan since 2024. Their record in Hyderabad was also dominant, with five wins from six matches.

The contest featured several explosive batting combinations, including Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal for Rajasthan, and the aggressive pair of Head and Abhishek Sharma for Sunrisers Hyderabad — making it a highly anticipated high-scoring clash.
