Quinton De Kock Named ODI Player Of The Year
On Friday, Cricket South Africa (CSA) announced the winners of their annual awards, highlighting outstanding performances in the cricketing season. Quinton de Kock was named the South African ODI Player of the Year after his exceptional performance at the 2023 World Cup, where he scored four centuries. Despite his retirement from 50-over cricket, his contributions were celebrated and recognized.
The awards ceremony, held in September, ensured the presence of all nationally contracted players, as many are unavailable in May due to the IPL. The awards considered performances from May 1, 2023, to April 30, 2024, while upcoming performances at the June Men’s T20 World Cup and the West Indies series will be included in next year’s awards.
This recognition reflects the incredible talent and dedication of South African cricketers, both in domestic and international formats.
