Israel Defense Forces issues safety warning as strikes hit Iran’s vital energy infrastructure
April 7, 2026: Amid the escalating conflict between Iran and the United States, Israel has issued a public safety warning urging Iranian citizens to avoid trains and railway stations. In a Farsi-language message, the Israel Defense Forces advised people to refrain from train travel until a specified time, cautioning that being near such locations could pose serious risks as military operations intensify.
The warning came shortly after Israeli forces carried out a major strike on Iran’s largest petrochemical facility in Asaluyeh. Defence Minister Israel Katz said the targeted sites were critical to Iran’s energy sector, accounting for a significant share of the country’s petrochemical output and exports. Reports indicated that installations at the South Pars gas field were hit, dealing a major economic setback to Tehran.
Meanwhile, tensions spread across the Gulf as Iran launched missile strikes toward Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province, prompting Saudi Arabia to shut the key road link to Bahrain. The escalation comes as Donald Trump set a deadline for Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, a vital global oil route. With threats and counterattacks intensifying, fears are growing of a wider regional conflict impacting critical infrastructure and global energy supply.
