February 8, 2025: Naomika Saran, granddaughter of Bollywood icons Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia, is set to make her cinematic debut. She will star opposite Agastya Nanda, grandson of Amitabh Bachchan, in a romantic comedy produced by Maddock Films. The movie is expected to bring a fresh take on modern relationships under the direction of Jagdeep Sidhu.

Jagdeep Sidhu, known for Punjabi blockbusters like Qismat and Shadaa, is stepping into Hindi cinema as a director with this project. He has previously contributed to Bollywood as a dialogue writer for films like Saand Ki Aankh and Srikanth. His expertise in storytelling and Maddock Films’ penchant for creating relatable love stories are expected to deliver a unique cinematic experience.

Naomika’s striking resemblance to her grandmother, Dimple Kapadia, has already caught the attention of film enthusiasts. The daughter of Rinke Khanna and businessman Sameer Saran, she now follows the illustrious legacy of her grandfather Rajesh Khanna, one of Indian cinema’s greatest superstars.
Agastya Nanda, fresh off his debut in Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies, is already making waves in the industry. He will also appear in Sriram Raghavan’s war drama Ikkis, based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, alongside veterans like Dharmendra and Jaideep Ahlawat.
This film holds a special nostalgic value for Bollywood fans as it unites the next generation of two legendary families. Rajesh Khanna and Amitabh Bachchan, who shared screen space in iconic films like Anand (1971) and Namak Haraam (1973), now pass the torch to their grandchildren in this eagerly awaited collaboration.
