
Ramadan 2025: India Awaits Crescent Moon Sighting; Fasting to Begin from Sunday

The holy month of Ramadan 2025 is set to begin in India, pending the sighting of the crescent moon this evening. Jama Masjid and Lucknow’s Shahi Imam have announced that Roza (fasting) will commence from Sunday, March 2, marking the beginning of a month of devotion, fasting, and prayers.

Meanwhile, several countries, including Saudi Arabia and Indonesia, have already started Ramadan observances as the moon was sighted on Friday, February 28.
