May 10, 2025: This week’s episode of WWE SmackDown was full of surprises, heated exchanges, and jaw-dropping moments — headlined by the return of Randy Orton and his explosive face-off with John Cena ahead of their much-anticipated clash at Backlash.

Cena, who currently holds the undisputed WWE championship, took to the mic to provoke Orton before trying to ambush him. But The Legend Killer countered with a signature RKO and took Cena down in a brutal exchange. What followed was a war of words where Cena dragged Orton’s family legacy into the dirt, accusing him of leaning on favoritism and injury excuses over his 25-year career. Cena even referenced Orton’s infamous 2006 drug test failure, claiming history would repeat itself at Backlash.

The drama escalated when a masked figure appeared at ringside and attempted an RKO on Cena. The champ fought back with an Attitude Adjustment. Orton, watching from the ring, sarcastically mocked Cena with a “You Can’t See Me” gesture before striking again with another devastating RKO.
