Ravindra Jadeja’s 12-Wicket Haul and Shardul Thakur’s Century Shine in Ranji Trophy Action

Jadeja’s all-round brilliance seals victory for Saurashtra; Thakur’s ton rescues Mumbai in a dramatic second day of Phase 2 matches

New Delhi, January 24: Day two of the Ranji Trophy Phase 2 matches saw Ravindra Jadeja and Shardul Thakur steal the spotlight with game-changing performances. Jadeja’s 12-wicket haul powered Saurashtra to a commanding win over Delhi, while Thakur’s blistering century pulled Mumbai out of trouble against Jammu and Kashmir.

Mumbai’s second innings started poorly, with Rohit Sharma’s brisk 28 and Yashasvi Jaiswal’s 26 providing brief hope. However, the team slumped to 101/7. Enter Shardul Thakur, whose unbeaten 113 off 119 balls, including 17 boundaries, turned the tide. Partnering with Tanush Kotian (58*), the duo added 173 runs to propel Mumbai to 274/7, giving them a 188-run lead.
