Fresh off their historic IPL 2025 title win, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) may soon be under new ownership. According to a report in the NDTV, the current owners Diageo Plc are exploring a partial or full sale of the franchise, riding high on its increased brand value post-championship.

RCB, managed by Diageo’s Indian arm United Spirits Ltd, has already begun informal talks with investors, with the franchise valued at nearly $2 billion (₹16,800 crore), according to Bloomberg. Reports of a potential sale led to a 3.3% surge in United Spirits’ stock on Tuesday. Diageo, the British spirits giant and parent company of United Spirits, is said to be in discussions with advisors to manage the transaction.
