RCB vs DC, IPL 2025: Tim David Finishes Strong But RCB Falter to 163/7 After Fiery Start

A rapid 50 in 3 overs had Bengaluru dreaming big, but Delhi’s bowlers led by Kuldeep and Nigam struck back to restrict the hosts to a modest total at Chinnaswamy.

April 10, 2025: 🏏 RCB vs DC IPL 2025 Match Summary: Bengaluru Sputter to 163/7 After Explosive Powerplay

In what started as a blistering powerplay display, Royal Challengers Bengaluru surged past 50 runs within the first three overs, thanks to explosive hitting by Phil Salt and Virat Kohli. However, what followed was a dramatic slowdown as Delhi Capitals’ bowlers regrouped and pulled things back spectacularly.

After being sent in to bat by DC captain Axar Patel, RCB raced to 53/0 in 3 overs, before Salt was run out in a mix-up with Kohli. The momentum shifted drastically after that.

🧹 Collapse in the Middle Overs
RCB lost wickets at regular intervals—Kohli (22), Padikkal (1), Livingstone (4), and Jitesh Sharma (3) all falling cheaply. The middle order couldn’t keep the scoring rate up, as Kuldeep Yadav and Vipraj Nigam tightened the screws with clever spin and sharp variations.
