  1. India’s 4th Leading Run-Scorer: Rohit Sharma needs just two runs to surpass Rahul Dravid’s record and become India’s fourth leading run-scorer in ODIs.
  2. Surpassing MS Dhoni: He requires seven runs to go past MS Dhoni’s ODI run tally.
  3. Most Sixes in ODIs: The skipper needs six sixes to break Chris Gayle’s record of 331 sixes in ODIs.

Recap of the First ODI

In the previous match against Sri Lanka:

  • Sri Lanka won the toss and opted to bat first, posting a total of 230/8. Key performances included Pathum Nissanka scoring 56 runs from 75 balls and Dunith Wellalage contributing an unbeaten 67 runs from 65 balls.
