The actor, recovering from a stabbing incident, is set to leave the hospital today as doctors plan his complete recovery schedule.
January 21, 2025: Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, who sustained injuries during a robbery attempt at his Bandra residence on January 16, is set to be discharged from Lilavati Hospital this afternoon. The actor had undergone surgery to remove a 2.5-inch spine fragment, following a stabbing incident.

According to Saif’s spokesperson, the doctors will conduct a final examination before his discharge to determine the rest period required for his complete recovery. “The doctors will decide the duration of rest after the final assessment before his discharge,” the spokesperson informed ETimes.

Earlier, doctors confirmed that Saif was out of danger but needed close supervision for a few more days. The actor, who was rushed to the hospital in an auto-rickshaw after the incident, received a reward of ₹11,000 from an institution for the driver’s timely assistance.
Meanwhile, police investigations are ongoing. The accused, identified as Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad, is reportedly a Bangladeshi national. He admitted to his crime and was taken to Saif’s house, Bandra bus stand, and station to recreate the crime scene on Monday night.
Saif Ali Khan is expected to issue a statement post-discharge as he continues his recovery at home.
