July 7, 2025: Samsung is once again ready to make headlines with its upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra, and full specifications have now been leaked online. While the overall design looks familiar, Samsung is bringing meaningful upgrades that focus on performance, camera improvements, and smarter design choices.
Slimmer Bezels and a Cleaner Look
The Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to feature the same 6.9-inch AMOLED display as its predecessor but with even slimmer bezels for a more immersive screen experience. The S Pen will continue to be part of the package. According to internal reports, Samsung tested a version without the S Pen, but user feedback was not positive — so it’s here to stay.
On the back, Samsung is moving away from the prominent, chip-like camera rings. Instead, a cleaner and more seamless back design is expected, giving the phone a more premium and minimalistic feel.
200MP Camera with Smart Upgrades
Samsung is going all-in on camera quality this year. The S26 Ultra is said to feature a 200MP ISOCELL HP2 primary sensor, supported by a 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens offering 5x optical zoom.
Another big update is the 3x telephoto camera, which will now be upgraded to 12MP. Samsung is also introducing a laser autofocus system and a new ProVisual Engine to enhance low-light photography and overall clarity.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 “Elite 2” for All Markets
This time, there will be no Exynos version. Every S26 Ultra unit globally will come powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, also being referred to in leaks as the “Elite 2” chip. Built on the 3nm process, this processor promises faster performance and better efficiency.
Samsung is also expected to add a larger vapor chamber cooling system, which will help manage heat during gaming and heavy multitasking — something users have been asking for.
16GB RAM Across All Variants
Another welcome change is that all storage variants — whether 256GB, 512GB, or the top-end 1TB — will come with 16GB RAM as standard. This means users will get smooth performance and better multitasking, no matter which model they choose.
Expected Launch This Month
As of now, Samsung hasn’t officially revealed the launch date. However, according to reliable leaks, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to be announced during the Galaxy Unpacked Event, which is scheduled to take place later this month — possibly in the coming week itself.
Final Thoughts
The Galaxy S26 Ultra looks like a solid upgrade over the S25 Ultra, focusing on smarter design, better thermal performance, and high-end photography. For users looking for a powerful Android flagship in 2025, this could be the one to watch out for.
