Satellite Images Reveal Damage To Pakistani Air Bases From Indian Missile Strikes

OSINT analysts and satellite firms reveal bomb damage assessments of Pakistan’s key airbases following Indian precision cruise missile strikes in retaliation for the Pahalgam terror attack.

Open-source intelligence (OSINT) experts and satellite imagery analysts have released visual evidence of significant damage to several Pakistani military installations, allegedly caused by Indian Air Force precision strikes using air-launched cruise missiles (ALCM). These strikes were launched in response to the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, which killed 26 people.

The missile strikes targeted key Pakistan Air Force (PAF) bases and infrastructure including radar installations, command and control centers, and ammunition depots located in Rafiqui, Chaklala, Rahim Yar Khan, Sukkur, and Sialkot.

Damaged Pakistani Bases Identified

• Bholari Air Base: Satellite imagery released by Indian firm Kawa Space shows visible impact on a PAF hangar, with significant structural damage and scattered debris. The imagery was also verified and analyzed by OSINT expert Damien Symon (@detresfa_), who suggested the hangar may have had a quick-reaction role given its proximity to the runway.

• Mushaf Air Base, Sargodha: A bomb damage assessment (BDA) by Kawa Space indicates that the runway was destroyed, severely hampering operational capability.

• Shahbaz Air Base, Jacobabad: BDA images show direct impact on a hangar and suspected secondary damage to the air traffic control (ATC) building, Symon reported.

• Nur Khan Air Base: Imagery shared by Chinese satellite firm MizazVision corroborates Indian strikes on ground support infrastructure at the facility. The analysis points to targeted disabling of equipment and logistical setups.

These assessments provide a rare public glimpse into the operational precision and impact of India’s ALCM strike capabilities.

India’s New Rules of Engagement

According to senior Indian defence officials, any future act of terror linked to Pakistan will be treated as an act of war, inviting a direct and decisive response. This hardened stance follows Pakistan’s escalation using drones to target Indian civilian areas after the initial Indian retaliation against terror camps in Pakistan and PoJK (Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir).

The Ministry of Defence and Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri earlier briefed the media, noting that Indian forces had avoided direct military installations initially to prevent escalation. However, with continued provocation from Pakistan, military targets were engaged directly in the latest wave of strikes.
